eIQnetworks Names Brad Taylor as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Aims to Continue Company’s Record Growth by Emphasizing Need for Security and Compliance Solution That Correlates Data From Multiple Sources

ACTON, Mass.— August 10, 2009eIQnetworks®, Inc., the company redefining security and compliance management, today announced that it has named Brad Taylor as senior vice president of worldwide sales. Taylor brings more than 16 years of experience in enterprise IT security sales, and he will lead a sales team that grew eIQnetworks’ revenue by better than 60 percent during fiscal year 2009.

Taylor came to eIQnetworks most recently from ArcSight, noting eIQnetworks’ unique approach to security and compliance management. eIQnetworks SecureVue correlates information from a wide variety of devices and sources to present a clear picture of a customer’s security posture. Company partners note that SecureVue is an ideal platform for a series of value-added services, including compliance reporting and automation, while satisfying near-term end-user needs related to SIEM, Log Management, and Configuration Auditing requirements.

“After talking to numerous eIQnetworks customers and prospects, there’s no question that log data is just simply not enough when evaluating the security of a company,” said Taylor. “eIQnetworks represents what is next beyond SIEM. Many prospects already have invested in what can be considered more traditional log and event based security monitoring and alerting technologies and feel their approach is not adequate. We go far beyond traditional SIEM or Log Management to actually provide a solution that more rapidly identifies threats and provides a complete 360 degree situational awareness view of an organizations security posture, along with all the information necessary for true compliance automation.”

Taylor’s appointment comes at a successful time for eIQnetworks. The record results recorded in fiscal year 2009 (which ended April 30, 2009) include customer wins across several vertical industries and an expanding partner program. eIQnetworks also announced in January 2009 that it raised $10 million in financing in its first institutional round of venture funding, led by Venrock Associates.

“Brad Taylor brings the experience and energy that eIQnetworks needs at this time of growth,” said Jim Geary, president of eIQnetworks. “It’s clear that eIQnetworks solutions bring real value to customers, and that we are on the cusp of creating a new strong market within IT security. Brad knows this market well and is equipped with what he needs to continue and accelerate our strong growth.”

Prior to his time in the security and compliance management market, Taylor served in various executive sales and marketing management capacities at AirTight Networks, Digital Evolution, Multinet Security and RSA Security.
